Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold Owl Bar Brooch with Garnet Eyes
This delightful and finely crafted bar brooch features a textured 9ct gold owl perched serenely at its centre. Symbolising wisdom and watchfulness—popular motifs in Edwardian jewellery - the owl is rendered with intricate feather detailing and expressive form.
The eyes are set with two small cabochon-cut garnets, lending the piece a lifelike gaze and a subtle flash of deep red. The contrast between the owl's rich texture and the smooth polish of the horizontal bar creates visual balance, while the slim gold bar ensures elegant wearability.
Condition: Very good antique condition. The garnet eyes are intact and securely set. The pin and clasp function well, with only minor surface wear consistent with age.
