Victorian 9ct Gold Swallows Brooch with Turquoise and Seed Pearls
Symbol of love, loyalty and safe return
Delicate and deeply sentimental, this antique double swallow brooch is crafted in 9ct yellow gold and linked by a fine chain - symbolising unity and unbreakable bonds. Each finely detailed swallow is set with bright turquoise cabochons and lustrous seed pearls, a classic combination beloved in late Victorian jewellery for its romantic symbolism and gentle colour contrast.
Swallows were widely cherished in Victorian times as emblems of enduring love and safe return, making this piece especially meaningful. Whether worn as a brooch, lapel ornament, or attached to a garment for a whimsical flourish, this versatile jewel captures the elegance and sentimentality of the Victorian era.
The brooch is presented in the antique black leather brooch box with blue velvet and silk lining, possibly its original box. The box will be sent with the brooch.
Condition: Excellent antique condition with secure fittings and bright stones. Chain and brooches are fully intact with minimal wear. The centre turquoise is exposed when viewing from reverse due to wear.
Hallmarks: Stamped 9ct on the pins, also confirmed with XRF test.
Dimensions: 2.2 x 1.8 cm (each brooch)
