Victorian Turquoise And Pearl Ring in 18ct Bloomed Yellow Gold - 1882
This exquisite Victorian-era ring beautifully pairs vibrant turquoise cabochons with the soft, natural lustre of seed pearls, all elegantly flush-set in a warm 18ct yellow gold band. The gold bears a bloomed finish—a refined surface treatment popular in the 19th century that enhances the richness and softness of high-carat gold.
Fully hallmarked at the Sheffield Assay Office with the date letter ‘P’ for 1882, and bearing the maker’s mark A.B., this piece speaks to the fine craftsmanship of the period. The arrangement of alternating pearls and turquoise within the domed band is a classic Victorian motif symbolising purity, protection, and enduring affection. The smooth, rounded band sits low on the finger, offering not only elegance but also exceptional comfort for everyday wear.
Condition: In very good antique condition with gentle age-related wear. The stones remain securely set, and the bloom finish retains its subtle matte texture.
Band width: 5.0 mm tapered to 2.6 mm
