Vintage Modernist Sterling Silver Sculptural Ring
Circa 1960s–70s | Possibly Studio-Made - A sculptural statement ring that captures the spirit of Modernist studio jewellery—artful, tactile, and unapologetically bold.
This striking vintage ring is a bold example of mid-century Modernist design, sculpted in sterling silver with an arresting, architectural presence. The form is highly textured and dimensional, built up in abstract layers that evoke natural forms—molten rock, bark, or coral—rendered in an almost Brutalist language of raw, asymmetrical beauty.
The openwork design allows light to play through the negative space, giving it both a sculptural and wearable quality. The silver surface carries an aged patina, enhancing the sense of depth and highlighting the rugged contours of its form.
Unmarked but consistent with studio-made pieces from the 1960s–70s, this piece embodies the spirit of Modernist experimentation, where traditional jewellery design was eschewed in favour of expressive, almost architectural creations.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Surface wear and patina consistent with age, with no damage or repairs. The patina has been left undisturbed to preserve its authentic vintage character, but could be polished if preferred.
