Victorian 15ct Gold Glove Hand Stickpin with Emerald Paste
A charming and symbolic treasure from Victorian era, this finely crafted stickpin is modelled as a gloved hand delicately holding a vivid green stone. Stamped 15ct on the reverse, the gold is beautifully worked with engraved detailing to suggest the texture of a glove, complete with a cuff at the wrist. Both hand and pin tests 15ct.
The hand clasps a lively emerald-green paste gemstone, its bright colour adding a touch of sparkle and contrast to the warm gold. Glove and hand motifs were popular in the 19th century, often symbolising affection, friendship, or fidelity — making this stickpin not only decorative but also rich in meaning.
Conditions: Presented in excellent antique condition. The faces remain sharp with minor wear on the gemstone.
