Antique Faceted French Jet Drop Earrings Circa 1910 in Sterling Silver
A striking pair of Antique French Jet drop earrings, dating to circa 1910, elegantly crafted in silver. These earrings feature meticulously faceted French Jet beads, which capture and reflect light beautifully, creating a mesmerising shimmer with movement. French Jet—actually a high-quality black glass—was widely used in mourning jewellery during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods, offering a sophisticated alternative to natural jet.
The elongated drop design, suspended from silver ear wires, exudes timeless elegance and makes these earrings a perfect choice for both historical jewellery enthusiasts and those seeking a statement accessory with vintage charm.
Condition: Very good antique condition with wear commensurate with age. Light surface scratch present on the reverse side. The earrings were originally made for non-pierced ears with screw backs. They have been expertly converted with ear wire.
