Edwardian Moonstone Festoon Necklace in Sterling Silver
A beautiful antique moonstone necklace featuring a graceful arrangement of oval and round cabochon moonstones, each displaying soft blue-white adularescence. Designed in a classic festoon style, the necklace graduates along the neckline with delicate chains draping between the stones and a striking elongated moonstone drop at the centre, creating movement and an elegant visual rhythm.
A few of the moonstones show natural internal inclusions typical of antique, minimally processed stones, adding character without detracting from their glow. Set in silver bezel with fine chainwork, the necklace sits fluidly and flatters the collar line. The clasp is a later replacement but functions securely and blends well with the overall aesthetic.
Condition: Presented in good antique condition, this is a romantic and wearable example of early 20th-century moonstone jewellery.
