Georg Jensen 1999 Sterling Silver and Hematite Pendant by Nanna Ditzel
Designed by renowned Danish designer Nanna Ditzel for Georg Jensen in 1999, this sculptural pendant is crafted in sterling silver and accented with a polished hematite sphere.
The organic form is reminiscent of a lily pad, with its softly rounded disc and characteristic cleft leading towards the hematite sphere — almost like a droplet of water resting on the leaf. Simple yet distinctly sculptural, the design reflects Ditzel's ability to translate forms from nature into clean Scandinavian modernist jewellery.
The reverse is hallmarked 1999, 925 S DENMARK, together with the Georg Jensen maker's mark and Nanna Ditzel designer mark.
The sterling silver chain is stamped CS 925 with wearable length of 43cm.
